The Spondon adventure ended for the Cosby D team last Saturday when we suffered a narrow defeat to Steve Nutt and his guys from Alfreton A team. The result was in doubt until the only halved match went to the fourth extra hole giving a 4-3 victory to Alfreton. The game was played in an excellent spirit and the sandwiches and chips together with the odd beverage completed an enjoyable day. We hope that Steve and his guys found their way home easier than they found Cosby GC!!!

This has been an enjoyable experience with matches against clubs we would normally not play, all matches played in a friendly competitive spirit.

We all look forward to next year.
