Aston Wood were at home for the match against Rushcliffe and made the most of their home advantage, despite giving their opposition a courtesy shot.

Rushcliffe do not have water on their course, so enjoyed the scenery and the hospitality offered by Aston Wood ladies in a close fought match, but Aston Wood narrowly nudged ahead to take the match 4.5 – 2.5, with one match going to the final putt on the 18th.

Rushcliffe ladies were magnanimous in defeat and wished Aston Wood all the best for the next round. Golf was the winner on the day, as all matches were played in the friendly spirit of the game, and even the weather was kind.
