Finally got through to round 2, having played two rounds in first round and then an additional round 1a. So when we were drawn against Trentham, we were worried – strong team and tough course and boy were we right to be worried.

Fabulous welcome by Captain Fiona Ford, who kept us all well watered and even provided ice creams at the halfway house – the best thing I have ever had on a golf course in such high temperatures.

As the matches concluded – it was clear it was going to go to the wire! 3 – 3 on the terrace and it’s all hinging on match number 7 who approached the 18th and were clearly still live. So down the 19th they go – it could have gone either way but it went to the Pink Ladies.
