Lees Hall B beat Ormonde Fields B and lifted the Taskers Trophy
Penn A saw off Rushcliffe A to claim the Burtoft Trophy
Oakmere Park Commanders A edged out New Mills A to take the Taskers Plate
Sunday, 20th September 2026, and the Taskers Trophy finals returned to Beeston Fields Golf Club for a day that delivered everything you want from Finals Day: tight matches, big swings in momentum, and three different trophies going to three different storylines. The sun was out for most of the day, with just a stiff breeze at times to keep the scoring honest.
Taskers Trophy
Lees Hall B made the fastest start of the day, winning the first three matches out to take control early. Ormonde Fields B hit back in match four, but Lees Hall B had done enough, adding two more wins to move to the brink before Ormonde Fields claimed a late consolation point. Lees Hall B closed it out 5–2 to take home the Taskers Trophy.

Burtoft Trophy
Penn A made the perfect start, winning the first two matches against Rushcliffe A, who hit back to level things up through matches three and four. Penn A had the final say, though, taking the last three matches to win the Burtoft Trophy 5–2.

Taskers Plate
Oakmere Park Commanders A won the first two matches against New Mills A, who levelled things up with wins in matches three and four. Oakmere Park Commanders A moved back in front with two more wins, and although New Mills A claimed the last match, it wasn’t enough: Oakmere Park Commanders A took the Plate 4–3.

Speaking at the presentation, Lees Hall reflected on what brought them into the competition in the first place: having watched their Women’s team enjoy eight years of success in the event, they were drawn in by the format and decided it was time to have a go themselves. They said it had been a thoroughly enjoyable journey to reach, and win, the final.
Mike Crawford, representing sponsor Taskers UK, hosted the presentation once again. As well as celebrating the winners, the evening’s centrepiece remained the presentation of funds to the county representatives present, a reminder of what sits behind this over-50s competition: supporting junior golf in your county. Representatives from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Sheffield, Leicestershire & Rutland and Lincolnshire were in attendance to receive their county’s funding, calculated in proportion to the number of teams entered from each area.
Supporting Junior Golf
This year saw a superb 184 teams enter the competition: 120 men’s teams across 60 clubs, and 64 women’s teams across 61 clubs. As ever, 100% of entry fees go toward junior golf, split between direct donations to participating clubs and promotional support for the counties taking part.
Congratulations to all six finalists, and thank you to every club and player who took part in 2026, and see you all again next year.

A Fantastic event that helps junior golf. Very well organized and supported superbly by all competitors and of course the sponsors. Looking forward to next year.
