The 2023 Final, sponsored by Taskers UK, will see the finalists of The Taskers Trophy, The Taskers Plate and The Ian Burtoft Trophy tee off at 11am at Beeston Fields Golf Club on Sunday 24th September, in their final battle for their respective competition

The Final will start with official team photographs before 10.30, with the first of the 21 matches set to tee off from 11.00. Following the completion of all matches, county representatives, competitors, guests and sponsors will dine at approximately 18.30, which will be followed by the Prize and Junior Golf Funding Presentation.

The Committee are most grateful to Beeston Fields Golf Club for their generosity in hosting the Final in providing course time, hospitality and a challenging course for the 6 teams competing in the final.

The Committee remind finalists that Beeston Fields Golf Club are not obliged to provide a free practice round (Rule 3.d) but they can be approached, however please be mindful that there are 6 teams in the final who might also be asking, which is a lot of course time, considering Beeston Field’s generosity in hosting the Final.

The Prize and Funding Presentation, hosted by sponsor Taskers UK, will present The Taskers Trophy, The Taskers Plate, and The Ian Burtoft Trophy, along with mementoes to the winning teams and to the runners up.

Introduced in 2011, for ladies to compete for this Trophy in memory of Ian Burtoft, past Inter-Club competition secretary

Introduced in 2007, following sponsorship of the competition by Taskers UK, providing a parallel competition for gents knocked out in the first round

Supporting Junior Golf in Your County

Following Dinner funds will be presented to representatives from participating County Unions and Associations, for the development of Junior Golf. The aim of the competition is to return as much of your entry fee to support grass roots development of junior golf in your county.

Information for participating finalists

10:00 - Arrival

Arrive at Beeston Fields in plenty of time making sure all the team at there by 10.00.

If you arrive early you and your team can meet in the bar and have morning refreshments together. See Beeston Fields Food & Drink Options for more info including catering times.

Greet your opposing team captain, present your teams playing order to the official starter and opposing team captain.

There will be a lot of teams and players arriving, there are 21 singles matches taking place in the final

10:20 - Team Photographs

Ensure all your team is gathered near the club house, and you know of their whereabouts from 10.25 and await guidance from the organisers to be called for your teams Official Photograph.

11:00 - First Match on the tee

The first tee time is 11.00, and matches will alternate as follows;

Trophy Match 1; Plate Match 1; Ian Burtoft Trophy Match 1:
Trophy Match 2; Plate Match 2; Ian Burtoft Trophy Match 2: etc…

Please ensure you have made the official starter aware of your teams playing order before 10.30 so they can then call your team to the tee when required. Caddies are permitted for matches.

18:00 - Dinner & Presentation

At around 18.30 dinner will be served in the dining room, there will be allocated tables for each respective competition, so all teams can dine together with their fellow competitors.

Following dinner, the Presentation of Trophies and Funds to Junior Golf will commence to County representatives.

Smart Dress is required for dinner and prize presentation.

All evening meals require pre booking – the last day for booking is Monday 11th September

After this time no further bookings or alterations can be made (see below for details) Team Captains are to inform the Inter-Club Secretary by 11th September of the number of meals required along with all dietary requirements using the advised booking process: A limited number of places for supporters and caddies are available to be booked for each team at a cost of £18 per person and paid in advance and booked as advised below The team captain is responsible for booking all dinners with the Inter-Club Secretary, if you are not a team captain and require a place for dinner please contact your team captain in the first instance. Beeston Fields will not take bookings directly – please direct all requests and questions to the Inter-Club secretary via the contact us form.
There will be no other food service at Beeston Fields on the evening of the final, and we cannot accommodate any additional covers on the day, therefore please ensure you have pre-booked your places for dinner.
Each team has a maximum allocation of 16 covers* for dinner and can comprise of:
Complementary Dinner for
7 x Team Players  3 x Past players – people who have competed in the team
Additional Guests @ £18 per person
    The names of players, past players and guests are required when booking.
If payment for additional guests is not received by 16th Sept the guest booking will be lost and offered to the additional guest waiting list *Team captains can request additional guests, beyond the total allocation of 16 covers, who will be held on a waiting list, guests which are requested before the 16th September and can be accommodated will be charged at £18 per person.
Confirmation by Monday 11th September Payment for confirmed additional guests by Monday 11th September
Additional Guests – Waiting list allocation. The committee, if possible, will allocate additional guests requests (which were requested by 13th September) between the 14th and 16th September and will notify team captains if an allocation is confirmed. Payment must be received by 16th September, unless otherwise advised, if not the offer of the space will be made to others on the waiting list.Confirm acceptance by 14th September Payment for confirmed additional guests 14th September
All Late Additions after the 11th September  Any additions to the meal booking during this period will be added to the waiting list, and if they can be accommodated will be charged £30 per person (including those who were eligible for a complimentary meal before 16th September) Payment must be made in advance as advised on confirmation. Priority is given to those who were added to the waiting list before 16th September.

It is very unlikely we will be able to accommodate requests past Wednesday 15th September or on the day, please ensure you book before this date

Tuesday 13th – 25th September
Any changes must be reported to the Secretary along with any special requirements; Monies paid for additional meals are non-refundable. Payment is to be by bank transfer, details will be provided to Team Captains upon confirmation
