A titanic struggle at Cosby ended in an overtime win for Ashbourne, their second away from home.

With the tie drawn at 3 all the pairing of Mark Harris and Douglas Treacher approached the 18th all square. For some unknown reason they were 35 minutes behind the other groups! and performed to a gallery of players as they halved the last hole.

The match then moved to the 1st extra hole where Douggie received a shot – this proved to be crucial and Ashbourne prevailed as the skies darkened.

The match was played in a great spirit and we at Cosby would like to wish Ashbourne all the very best for the rest of the competition.
