We [Kirby Muxloe] played Lutterworth ‘A’ at their place on a fine but Windy afternoon, the course was in great nick for the time of year, so plenty for their members to look forward to in the coming season, the match, as with every other that I have taken part in, was played in great spirit and very competitive with the result always in doubt, our club Captain Glenn Willis led us off and had a very tight game, going into extra play off holes, the rest of us had either won or lost during the regular 18, the result looked to be in the bag for us with what was happening out on the course, one game being 4 up with 5 to play and  another 5 up with 7 to play, both of these we did win but only on the last! ultimately, we were tied at 3 games each. Our Captain meanwhile managed to win his own battle and we emerged victorious 4 – 3. This followed by an excellent meal and the bragging rights! Fantastic! Thanks to the team and to Lutterworth for being such gracious hosts, we wish you all luck in the Plate.
