Bradley Moore of Kedleston Park, Derbyshire has been named in the England Boys Home Internationals Squad being played at Western Gailes in Scotland on 5th – 7th August.

Moore,  and fellow team mates, McCullen, Penge and Singh Brar were members of the England side that finished second behind the winners, Ireland, in last year’s event at Forest Pines in Lincolnshire.

England has included four new caps in its squad for the Boys Home Internationals this year.

Moore, 16, has been highly successful in recent years. He won the English Boys under 14 Championship in 2011, finished second in the under 16 championship last year and lost the playoff to McCullen for the 2014 under 18 title. In 2013 he won the McEvoy Trophy and the European Young Masters and was a semi-finalist in the British Boys. This year he has won the Irish Boys Open, finished runner-up in the McEvoy ad well as the Carris Trophy.

The format of the competition is a round robin international series at Boys level with each of the four home countries playing against one another. The matches comprise five morning foursomes followed by ten afternoon singles.

We wish Bradley and the England team the best of luck and play well!

Congratulations to the England Team on their win!

“As leaderboards changed all afternoon, Bradley Moore’s 4 and 3 win over Peter Kerr in the middle order ended Scotland’s chances as England secured more points than Scott Knowles’ side had accumulated. Moments later Jonathan Thomson came through a tight encounter to deny 15-year-old Owen Crooks 2 and 1 and that was the all-important point, which meant England had won the title.”
