In these tough economic times all assistance we get from organisations such as Taskers is welcome. This helps us develop players, who without such funding may not have access to golf. The money funds the ongoing training, with the overall objective of having a successful junior squad. without such assistance, we would need to increase affiliation fees and ask parents for contributions towards coaching costs and match days. The funding, together with other donations received for our junior teams, means that we can cover most of the costs from the county finances.

Junior Coaching and Training is the primary use of these funds from the Taskers Trophy Inter-Club.

Our coaching is still done in conjunction with 3 Hammers Golf Academy under the watchful eye of Rob Bluck and his coaches. This has been expanded to include elite, development squads. It is hoped that the girls will continue with golf later on into their lives and enjoy it well into adulthood.

We are very grateful to Taskers and thank them for their continuing support. The outcome is the continued success of our girls at both county and junior level – success has been achieved for both the team and individual players

We have an Elite squad of 20 girls and a development squad of approx. 15. The girls play friendly matches, handicap matches and scratch throughout the summer. There is also coaching for little ones in the winter months. Our Junior County team have had success at both regional and national level in recent years.

The plan for our junior members is ongoing and is continually monitored by Rob and his coaches with input from our junior organisers and the committee. As mentioned above, the money funds the ongoing training, with the overall objective of having a successful junior squad. without such assistance, we would need to increase affiliation fees and ask parents for contributions towards coaching costs and match days. The funding, together with other donations received for our junior teams, means that we can cover most of the costs from the county finances.
