Inclusive Junior Development in Staffordshire
The Taskers Trophy funding is crucial for the development of
County Donations, we donate proportionally to the number of teams each county enters into each competition, with funds going to County Golf Junior Organisations. Each county receiving a share of the funds is asked to provide reports and outline plans for how they use it; below are the latest reports from each participating county.
Entry fees from the Women’s Competition go to Women’s Golf Associations, and entry fees from the Men’s Competition go to Men’s Unions and County Organisations².¹ Many associations and counties run joint junior development programmes benefiting both boys’ and girls’ junior golf.
Direct-to-club donations are awarded by the committee to support junior golf development at individual clubs. Each year the committee selects a small number of clubs, up to a maximum of 10 per funding cycle, with donations capped at a maximum of £250 per club.
¹ Lancashire has a different junior golf funding model for the Men’s Competition: the Organising Committee allocates funding directly to participating clubs’ junior golf development, as their County Union does not accept donations.
² From 2025 onwards, funds from both the Men’s and Women’s Competition in Lincolnshire are donated to the Lincolnshire Women’s County Golf Association.
