On behalf of the Staffordshire Ladies County Golf Association I would like to thank  you for the very generous donation given to us for the junior golf development.

Staffordshire Ladies continued to increase its intake of new recruit throughout the year going through the academies’ with more girls entering competitions at all levels. The funding helps players develop, it allows us to help certain players who don’t have the funds from home and we are able to put more funding into the game and develop more girls than before.

Staffordshire has seen the results of these efforts over the last year with some excellent team and individual achievements.

Individual achievements 2015

Emily Coleman Trentham reached the final of the English Women’s Match Play Championship at Trentham and finished runner up to Sophie Keech of Dorset who won with a birded on the last hole.

Hannah Golding of Brocton Hall played in the England Grand Final Medal at Frilford Heath which is a National Ladies event and Hannah who was only 12 years old this year was competing against much more experienced players. She was the youngest competitor in the field and shot a net 69 to finish in 2nd place.

Morgan Thomas of Beau Desert won the under 14 Midland County Champion of Champions for the second year running and Georgia Pritchard of Beau Desert was runner up in the Abraham Trophy.

Emily Brennan of Trentham won the under 16 Faldo Midland series and qualified for the final in Berlin.

Many thanks once again for all the work you do on behalf of junior golf.
